They have attracted a wide adult audience as well as younger readers, and are often considered cornerstones of modern young adult literature. The end of the book reveals Lucius Malfoy, Draco's father and rival of Ron and Ginny's father, to be the culprit who slipped the book into Ginny's belongings and introduced the diary into Hogwarts. Other aspects borrowed from French Arthurian romances include the use of owls as messengers, werewolves as characters, and white deer. The American scholars Heather Arden and Kathrn Lorenz in particular argue that many aspects of the Potter stories are inspired by a 14th century French Arthurian romance, Claris et Laris, writing of the 'startling' similarities between the adventures of Potter and the knight Claris. Arden and Lorenz noted that Rowling graduated from the University of Exeter in 1986 with a degree in French literature and spent a year living in France afterwards. Arnden and Lorenz noted the similarity between the Arthurian romances, where Camelot is a place of wonder and safety, and from the heroic knight must venture forth facing various perils, usually in an enchanted forest; and Hogwarts, likewise a wondrous safe place, where Harry Potter and friends must periodically venture forth from to the forest that surrounds Hogwarts.

Rowling said that, to her, the moral significance of the tales seems 'blindingly obvious'. I love reading these to get a sense of a movie. However, it is now much more difficult in the latest app version. The font is no longer controlled by me, but is fixed to a size that is too small for me to read comfortably. Please revert this to the way it had been prior to this change.

(one star) I love so much about this app, but it is absolutely MADDENING that if you are reading a page (e.g. One about a director) and you get a phone call, then maybe check something online or whatever, and go back to the app 10 minutes later, the page you were on has vanished, and you are back at the home page. This makes using the app an exercise in ADD. The default should be that it stays on the page you were looking at for at least an hour if you leave the app for some reason and then come back. What would really be great is an option in settings that allows the user to choose whether they want to come back to the home page automatically, every time, or stay on the page they navigated to for 15 mins, 30 mins, I hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, or a day.

The different platforms, iPhone vs iPad vs Mac are all so different. On the road I always use my iPhone, but when sitting in front of TV my iPad is open and on my lap It's all good though.
